![]() The Runaways![]() The Runaways SynopsisThe film follows two friends, Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning), as they rise from rebellious California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. Joan and Cherie fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley (Michael Shannon) who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself. Written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, the film chronicles Joan and Cherie’s tumultuous relationship.
The TrailerThe ReviewThis film literally ‘rocks’ my socks off. You’ll forget the popular roles Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning that the media has molded them into once you watch this. Despite sitting down, I felt exhilarated by the compelling story and the scenes, which was so raw, that it draws you in. Moral of the story, “Fame indeed does has a price”. This is a biopic about the 1970s all-girl rock band of the same name that you shouldn’t miss! The Good
