Synopsis

Based on the best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, “The Lovely Bones” is the story of a 14-year-old girl from suburban Pennsylvania who is murdered by her neighbor. She tells the story from Heaven, showing the lives of the people around her and how they have changed all the while attempting to get someone to find her lost body. She must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.

The thing about adaptations of novel to movie, well if it’s not properly executed, the film will suck.

I’m not saying this one does, but it could be better.

In my opinion, Alice Sebold’s The Lovely Bones was somewhat ‘butchered’ by Peter Jackson.

It didn’t even came close to reflect the novel, and there were parts missing in the movie that’s was a mainstay in the novel.

The characters was weak, and the editing was sloppy.

Please rent this one instead.

• Watered down versions of the book
• Mark Wahlberg was a terrible choice as lead
