A Hollywood remake of the 2009 Swedish movie “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” which was the first movie based upon “The Millennium Trilogy” book series by the late author and journalist Stieg Larsson. It revolves around the tale of serial murder and corporate trickery, complicated international financial fraud and the buried evil past of powerful people. In the movie, Mikael Blomkvist (Craig Daniel) is a writer who loses a libel case against a corrupt Swedish industrialist and is sentenced to prison. Blomkvist is hired by Henrik Vanger (Christopher Plummer) to solve the 40-year-old mystery of his missing great-niece. He gets to know a troubled young computer hacker, Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara), and together they discover a long list of disturbing and shocking revelations involving the Vanger family.
