![]() The Blood Pledge![]() The Blood Pledge Synopsis“The Blood Pledge” is the fifth instalment of the popular “Whispering Corridors” horror franchise. It follows four good friends in a Catholic girls’ high school – Unjoo, Soy, Eugene and Eun-young, who swear their friendship with blood late one night at chapel within their school compound. They promise each other that their bond will last through death, so much that they are even willing to die together. Strange rumours start to spread at the girls’ school after Unjoo committed suicide one night. Unjoo’s younger sister Jung-un who attends the same school gets suspicious about Unjoo’s death. The remaining friends are then chased by death as their promise weighs heavily over them.
The TrailerThe ReviewIf the horror aspect for this movie doesn’t garner the attention and audiences it hoped for, well maybe the cast of four pretty girls would. Four schoolgirls who looks as though they’ve just come right off a magazine cover, made a pact to die together. But their “Blood Pledge” goes horribly wrong when one of them committed suicide, and the remaining three girls believe they’re haunted by the ghost of their dead blood sister. It’s a movie that explores teen relationships, paranoia and mistrust. Horror wise, there wasn’t much of gore that scared me while watching it. My gripe is that most of the time it’s too dark to notice anything. The film gave me a sense of ambiguity, I wasn’t sure what was real, or if the scene was a hallucinations or a dream, although the ending did saved it. The Good
