Synopsis

An ambitious young news reporter (Ali Zafar) from Karachi, Pakistan is desperate to migrate to the US in pursuit of the American dream. His desperate attempts to migrate are shot down as his visa is constantly rejected. But when things couldn’t look worse, he comes across an Osama Bin Laden look alike. He then hatches a scheme to produce a fake Osama video and sell it to news channels as a breakthrough scoop! Unfortunately, there are serious ramifications as the White House gets involved and dispatches an overzealous secret agent on his trail.

Everyone knows Osama bin Laden, and it’s no surprise there will be spoofs and comedy related to the infamous terrorist, thus “TERE BIN LADEN”.

I like this comedy well enough as it wasn’t too overbearingly corny, nor lame. There were just enough physical slapstick that complements the jokes.

One of the success for this light-hearted comedy is the hilarious endearing characters. I was especially in a LOL state every time the fake Osama appears, or the funny actors who played the casting crew; yes supporting roles, but it adds dimension to the layers of comedy.

This is a comedy that didn’t tries too hard, a perfect film to have plenty of laughs.

• Some of the jokes are impractical however, so keep an open mind
