![]() Stool Pigeon![]() Stool Pigeon SynopsisThe team behind “Beast Stalker” reunite wit “Stool Pigeon” where Nick Cheung now plays a cop and Nicholas Tse an ex-con and informant trying to infiltrate the Triad, in a role reversal under the direction of Dante Lam. We follow Senior Inspector Don Lee, who relies heavily on the intel provided by stool pigeons. Barbarian is a painstakingly meticulous armed robber. Don needs an informant to infiltrate his gang, so he recruits street-racer Guy. Guy provides information on Barbarian’s next job, but Don is unable to effectively act on them until the final moment. Since Barbarian has not left any evidence, Don is pressured to convince Guy to become a prosecution witness. Don promises to provide Guy with a new identity in another country but the departure is beset by accidents and Guy barely makes it to safety. Haunted by his ruined relationships with his ex-wife and former stool pigeons, Don no longer wants to be part of a world that is one betrayal after another.
The TrailerThe ReviewThe idea behind this film sounds promising, but after watching it, I felt the movie had just too many sub-plots. There wasn’t much of focus on the main story line, and it was distracting when another twist, lead, or plot was introduced to the scene. I felt the director was trying too much on putting the details and background of the characters that he forgotten the main focus of the movie itself. However I was really surprised Nicholas Tse acting was quite believable, as previously he has a knack of being ‘wooden stiff’. Also it was my first time watching Lunmei Kwai, the female lead, and she did a credible job. I reckon acting-wise for this film, it was excellent. This is a movie that needs to be watched twice, as I really lost the plot the first time round. The Good
