The Review
As always Scorsese managed to create a gripping thriller, and Shutter Island delivered on all fronts.
I was scared to my wits on the chilling scenes, and the overall gloomy atmosphere helped to the cause.
The only thing that sucked for me was the choice of Di Caprio as the main lead, a US Federal Marshal.
But then again it’s a personal choice on my part as I find him annoying. Still he was convincing for the role.
A predictable movie, but well-made.
The Good
- Good narration, it wasn’t too annoying nor gave away too much
- The psychological and gore aspects was good, scared the shite out of me
The Bad
- Crappy cheesy dialogues
- The movie was 2 hour plus long!
