![]() Robin Hood![]() Robin Hood SynopsisRussell Crowe plays Robin of Loxley in an origin story of Robin Hood that reportedly hews close to historical facts of the period. Abandoned as a child, he finds community with the common people of Nottingham. Robin’s abandonment and trust issues hamper his ability to fall in love. He meets his match in Marion (Cate Blanchett), a strong independent woman.
The TrailerThe ReviewThere’s already so many adaptations of Robin Hood, and the latest incarnation by Ridley Scott doesn’t actually bring anything new to the table, but it is indeed entertaining. Big budget means big sets, huge casting, better graphics and yada yada yada. The latest Robin Hood is a perfectly created Hollywood movie package, there’s the conflict, a hero arises, the sacrifices to be made, and victory ensues. With that everyone goes away happy, the movie-goers feel it’s money well-spent, and the producers laughing all the way to the bank. This is no classic, plenty of loopholes, and jokes that I don’t get, but it’s watchable. The Good
