The Review

Is it just me or Jake Gyllenhaal is too pasty-looking for the role of Prince Dastan.

So far to date, popular video-games made into movies has not been well received so far.

Think Doom, Street Fighter, Super Mario Bros. and now Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Most of such leap didn’t bode so well as I reckon people goes into the cinema with high expectations, only to leave disappointed.

I might say Prince of Persia is somewhat entertaining, impressive scenes but they’re far and few in-between.

The storyline was patchy at best, and the only thing holding the movie for me was Gemma Arterton.

I thought she was brilliant and stole the limelight from Jake Gyllenhaal.

The film needs a better tighter script. It was joyless for me as I watched this.

The Good

  • Believable chemistry
  • Lovely music selection

The Bad

  • Miscast
  • Predictable plot
