![]() Parque Via![]() Parque Via SynopsisBeto (Nolberto Coria) is an elderly Indio, whose job is to look after a lavish residence in Mexico until it is sold to a new owner. His contact with the outside world is limited to the visits made by the owner and weekly sessions with Lupe (Nancy Orozco), a prostitute he pays for companionship. For the most part, Beto lives like a loner. Even a simple visit to the market has become a major ordeal. For Beto, television is the only window into the outside world and that world has become a very scary place for him. But when the house is sold, he must leave. Despite his boss’ efforts to locate a new job for Beto, he fears that he can no longer manage to be in the general public again.
The TrailerThe ReviewWatching Parque Via depresses me, and I reckon many viewers can at one point of time related to scenes in the film as it deals with human loneliness. Added to the life of a minimalist, the main character shunned away from society for the last 30 years, sticking to a routine that echoes solitary darkness. Such cinematic reality is well received for critics I reckon, but for general viewers like us, it’s a movie that’s too close for comfort. As much this film-making interest me, I wouldn’t want to watch it again. The Good
