The Review
I’m glad the Ong Bak series has come to a closure, as I can’t watch anymore of it. The trilogy of Ong Bak picked up where it last left off in Part 2.
As much as I love the first movie, the second was crap, and the third does much better.
It’s a watchable film where the editing is much tidier, and the scenes are more realistic. No more patchy amateurish scene as in the sequel.
With it’s NC16 rating, expect lots of violence. Basically I feel this is wholeheartedly a martial arts film first, storyline comes second.
It’s a mindless film, so go to the theater with no expectation when watching this.
The Good
- Stellar fight scenes, nobody can match Tony Jaa in that area
The Bad
- Weak plot
- Laughable special effects
