Jonah Hex

Jonah Hex

Synopsis

Hex, known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform, was a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood. Female lead Megan Fox has told the media in early reports that “Jonah Hex” will be “super-violent” despite being a PG-13 movie. In the Wild West, a scarred bounty hunter tracks a voodoo practitioner bent on liberating the South by raising an army of the undead.

The Trailer

The Review

Basically Jonah Hex is a mediocre western shoot-em-up flick.

Yes Megan Fox is in this one, and at times I felt her excellent looks distracts the plot.

Josh Brolin was brilliant as usual in the acting department, playing the anti-hero, but what doesn’t click right for this movie is the add-on storylines.

The supernatural part just makes the comic series less realistic. I would have hope the producers would stick to the original comic series plot, but I guess Hollywood knows better eh.

Entertaining, YES, lots of action, YES , CGI excellence, YES … but the story has plenty of loopholes and doesn’t make sense.

The Good

  • Excellent character development

The Bad

  • Conflicting genres
  • Predictable lame ending
