The Review
I noticed Nia Vardalos have been starring in a string of rom-com flicks, and not wanting to sound mean, is that all she can do?
Starring, writing, and directing her latest romantic tale, I felt deja-vu of sorts watching it.
It is as if the movie is similar to the characters from her previous ones.
I like variety, and Nia Vardalos should try other acting genres than be labeled that actress who does rom-com only.
Of course the film isn’t that bad, but I felt totally bored watching “I Hate Valentine’s Day”.
Story-wise for this movie, it’s kind of dry. I cringe every time they try to make the scenes ‘cute’.
It’s your usual funny romantic story of girl-next-door finding the love of her life.
Been there, done that.
The Good
- Great one-liners
- Nia Vardalos looks great, working out eh girl!
The Bad
- Terrible movie scores
- Bad chemistry, I ain’t feeling it
