Synopsis
Based on the novel by best-selling author Nicholas Sparks, with screenplay by Jamie Linden, “Dear John” tells the story of John Tyree, a young soldier home on leave, and Savannah Curtis, the idealistic college student he falls in love with during her spring vacation. Over the next seven tumultuous years, the couple is separated by John’s increasingly dangerous deployments. While meeting only sporadically, they stay in touch by sending a continuous steam of love letters overseas – correspondence that eventually triggers fateful consequences.

You want drama and romance, well this film will serve a platter full of it in this hour long tear-jerker.
A chance meeting between the two set premise for a memorable two weeks of whirlwind romance, and thereafter the start of their exchange of Dear John letters.
The letters were indeed touching, you heart will ache.
The excellent narration aids the lovely letters in conveying the message across.
A movie of about a promising relationship that wasn’t to be.
Oh my how much I wept watching this.
