The Trailer
The Review
Michael Moore is probably one of the most controversial director of all time, with a string of memorable movies such as Fahrenheit 9/11, Bowling for Columbine and Sicko.
His latest “Capitalism: A Love Story” nonetheless peeked my interest once again, as the topic at hand by one way or another, the financial economic downturn, has affected everyone at every level of the socio-economic status.
The movie dwells on attacking the conservative ideas. Moore narrates with a comedic irony in his narration, as he tries to find where our money has gone to during the global financial meltdown, and seeks people to blame, which is about practically everybody in this film.
Watch as how large corporations robs you, then admits they don’t care about you, just money only, while you the people can only sit idly by and struggle.
Watch how your representatives are looking out for corporate interests, not yours.
Watch how corporate creeps are escaping with their golden parachutes as companies fail, while your 401(k) retirement savings are disseminated.
Watch how the unemployment levels increases, while corporate brass throws lavish parties and award each other bonuses.
Michael Moore’s “Capitalism: A Love Story” focus on simplistic identification of individuals as responsible and promotes hatred towards them, using macro conclusions from micro solutions while ignoring massive segment of the population.
The movie may not be perfect, but it does address serious issues at hand.
The Good
- Smart film with interesting subject, the stock market crash of 2008
- Reveals hard hitting truth of life
- Entertaining movie, and watching Michael Moore making a fool of himself in the streets was hilarious
The Bad
- I kinda felt that the movie is Michael Moore’s attempt for attention, he is a celebrity nonetheless
- Biased attempt to influence us without the ‘whole’ story
- Felt the movie can be told in 45 minutes than a draggy 2 hour
