The Review
Apocalyptic films are a niche of a movie. I find that either you like, or dislike such films. There’s no middle ground.
Fortunately I’ve a liking for the genre, and this review will be slightly biased obviously.
It was well-written, there’s excellent acting but the plot twist was a let-down for me, as after that the movie just doesn’t makes sense.
I won’t tell you what it is, but I expected more from the Hughes brothers who directed the classic “From Hell” and “Menace II Society”.
It entertained me for sure, but I just wish the script was a little different, and ‘believable’.
The Good
- Excellent action scenes
- Gary Oldman never fails to impress me
The Bad
- Slow first half
