The Trailer

The Review

A stunningly visual effects does not equate to a great cinematic experience.

Avatar while it is indeed a gorgeous movie in terms of cinematography and filming technology, it seriously lack in areas of plot and character development.

I wish there was more depth for the main character, the supporting cast let alone has practically none.

The film I feel depends too much on the beauty of the setting, where there is not one unpredictable twist, everything was just too predictable.

James Cameron ideological basis for the movie is admirable exploring the subjugation of native cultures which is a big NO-NO, but hypocritical nonetheless since our society progress and future lies on industrialism and expansion.

Top score for it’s 3D visualization, but low on the storytelling.

The Good

  • Amazing battle scenes
  • Brilliant realistic animation
  • Will make you reflect back on our world

The Bad

  • Lacked plot
  • Tedious clichés
  • Laughable stereotypes
